Segway or Aircoaster?

Would you prefer this revolutionary people transporter?

Or this?

Some possibilities for the future If you can build highways for automobiles and other forms of expressways for mass transits, you can also build special track ways for skating devices like the Aircoaster. Skate ways should be built for urban areas where there is very little space left from the vehicular congestion. Perhaps the Segway transporter should lead the way and governments around the world should take another look at an alternative transport system that is environmentally friendly and not pushing for more vehicle usage that might lead to more congestion. Some simple logic should tell us that even a small subcompact car will occupy the space of five skaters, so if you were to replace the cars with the skaters, you will immediately have five times the road space available for people to move around. And do not forget the amount of fossil fuel saved as well as the elimination of carbon dioxide and other noxious gases. Germany has already launched a park community that is solely powered by inline skates, so we should be able to watch how they progress in the months ahead. We wish them the best of luck for our future may lie in their hands!

How did the aircoaster came about?

Ever since mankind invented the wheel, there has been a lot of buzz about this little round thing. Everybody seems to have different ideas about using it, from the first single wheel toy horse to the present day Segway, there seemed no rest for the wheel. Some-where along the way, some smart Alec managed to strut little wheels onto shoes and went on to invent the art of skating, some of the idea borrowed from sliding along frozen paths during winter with makeshift wooden planks! To-day, you have various forms of skates like the in-lines, quads, ice skates and skateboards. Although skates have become very sporty, they are cumbersome to tack along, especially if they have to accompany the wearer to board aircraft for a long journey. On other occasions, you have to put it in your sport bags if you are going for competitions. It was the need to cut down on baggage that the idea of the aircoaster was born. Its concept is simple, just redesign the sole of the shoe so as to incorporate skating contraptions, which can be easily attached as well as detached, and conveniently put away someplace and still use back the same shoe for its original purpose. Thus was born the very useful skating sneaker that you can use for walking, running and skating.

Can the aircoasters offer anything for transportation needs?

Indeed, one of its purpose is to use it as an alternative form of transport. Like the Segway transporter, it was designed for moving people around, but unlike the Segway, the Aircoaster does not come with a propulsion system, and instead encourages the wearer to use human self propulsion. One of its design consideration is to reduce the dependency on fossil fuel power for environmental benefits. Another consideration is to encourage humans to increase the level of exercise, mainly to cut down on the increasing rate of obesity in developed countries.
As an alternative means of transport, the roller skating method would be beneficial in highly urbane centers because it would be possible to greatly reduce the amount of carbon dioxide emitted by vehicles. However, in order to achieve a degree of safety among wearers of skating sneakers like the aircoasters, there would be a need for an overhaul of state legislation so that it's usage can be legalized.

What advantage does the Aircoaster have over others?

*The Aircoaster is designed to be totally convertible. You can easily change it from a sneaker to a skate and back to a sneaker again. What you get is a two-in-one shoe that you can wear for different occasions. Just imagine this, you wear it as a sneaker on board an aircraft, then fly off to to meet your boyfriend and before you knock on his doorstep, just put the rollers back onto the shoe and surprise your beau, telling him that you had actually skated all the way during the trip!

*The Aircoaster experience will attract full attention from inquisitive onlookers like when they see a Martian wearing some strange looking shoes!

*Comfort is the number one consideration, and it is built as a comfortable shoe first and a skate second, quite unlike the other skating devices that you are used to.

*Flexibility in materials and usage is beyond comparison.

*Cost effectiveness can't be beat.

You can buy a pair of roller or inline skates and after using it, chuck it in a shoe rack, but you can buy the Aircoaster, use it from your house and still using it after you have returned from the skating rinks and back to your house, without taking off your shoe.

*You can put the roller wheels in a waist pouch, carry it wherever you go and convert your sneaker into a skate and zoom off in case of an emergency(power failure can strike any moment).
