Young Mercury pondering what to do with the aircoaster!

A social tool

You must be familiar seeing a group of skaters happily zig-zagging around the playground, occasionally screaming as they were about to knock into each other. Well, when they roller skate together, they will help to cultivate more cohesiveness among themselves and this will certainly bring about social health.

Skate Dancing

Have you heard of Rexing, Rink rexing, Line rexing, spot rexing, downtown, rhythm skating, box step, crazy legs? If you have, then you know that it is the new way to enjoy dancing with your roller skates, in pairs, or groups, moving, jumping, shuffling your feet in tune to great music, at the indoor skating rinks.
Young and old alike, people are finding that this form of dancing and skating is a great way to stay trim and at the same time, enjoy the benefits of social dancing.

Some good news for elder women

According to the US National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute(NHLBI), women who are trying to lose weight can benefit as much from a moderate physical activity as from an intense workout.
An issue of the Journal of American Medical Association dated September 10, 2003, stated that there is an association between physical activity and a reduced risk of breast cancer in post menopausal women. It seems that even light but regular exercise regimen has its benefits. It goes further to say that a weekly workout of about 3 hours will be sufficient, and can bring about a weight loss of about 12 pounds, provided they maintain a low caloric meal intake.
Here, we would like to encourage older women to take up again the joys of roller skating for good healthy benefits. The aircoast roller skate is especially suitable because it is designed to be more stable with it's low center of gravity. You can now skate for health reasons.

In another related report by researcher Dr. Anne Mctiernan of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, where she was quoted as saying that studies have shown that exercises may help counteract, but not cancel out breast cancer, heart attack and strokes of women who had being given hormone treatment for post menstrual symptoms. Light exercises like walking, biking and even relaxed roller skating will go a long way in reducing breast cancer, even if they had started engaging in such activities late in their lives. Men should also take the opportunity to accompany their wives on such exercises so as to kill two birds with one stone, as their own health is also being enhanced, so there is really a reason to skate for health enhancements!
